FBI uses FaceID to unlock a suspect’s iPhone X for the first time
For the first time ever, America’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had a suspect to unlock his iPhone X using FaceID. The agency forced Grant Michalski – an Ohio resident who is accused of receiving and possessing child pornography – to unlock his iPhone X with his face on August 10. The FBI had a search warrant which allowed them to make Michalski unlock the phone. After unlocking the phone, FBI’s special agent David Knight discovered conversations on chat messenger Kik about abusing minors.
